I enjoy several forms of image making, particularly drawing, and traditional printmaking (ie, lino prints, woodblock prints, etchings, monoprints, etc.) but more recently digital art has also enticed me into its realm. Photography is another area I enjoy dabbling in, but more often than not I use photography for information gathering, for catching a quick action or expression that I can use in my artwork.
My mood and inspiration determine how I work, the medium I choose to work in, and the subject matter I work with. I also prefer to work in a series of three to five images on the same subject or in the same medium, and then move onto something different to avoid getting stuck in a rut. It is possible I may come back to that subject or medium later, hopefully with a fresh approach to it.
Currently I am also studying creative writing by correspondence course, so I may be adding short stories and travel journals to this website down the track.
NOTE: Image resolution on this site is kept deliberately low. However, all purchased, finished prints are of the highest quality, with a replacement guarantee should they not meet this standard.
